The Library is where your organisation's files live: a folder tree for the organisation, with uploading, creating folders, renaming, dragging to move, searching and downloading. What one person uploads, everyone else in the organisation sees.
Every grant has its own
When you register a grant, its folder is created inside Grants, named after the call for applications (convocatoria). That name is fixed when the folder is created and doesn't follow the project's: renaming a project must never move anybody's paperwork.
A grant's Documents tab is that same folder, not a copy. Whatever you upload there you see just the same coming in through the Library. Two places would force you to decide where each document goes, and the easy answer – in both – is the one that guarantees one of them goes stale.
It isn't the same as My organisation
My organisation holds the documents that come up in every application – articles of association, CIF (tax ID), annual activity report, clearance certificates, power of representation – sorted into categories, with up to three files in each so you can keep this year's and last year's. The Library is for everything else.
The limits and the care taken
- Up to 2,000 files per organisation and eight levels of folders.
- Up to 25 MB per file.
- Files are kept in private storage and served through links that expire: an address copied out of the browser bar won't still be opening your articles of association a month from now.
- PDFs, images and plain text open inside the browser; everything else downloads, because opening certain kinds of file inside our own domain would be a security hole.
