Search & analyse is the screen with the whole catalogue on it. It has three tabs, and each one answers a different question.
- Calls: what you can apply for. It is where you search when there is something to go for.
- Grants: the programmes with all their editions, year by year. Here what is closed counts too: it tells you when a call usually comes out, and gives you time to get ready.
- Funders: who gives the money, with everything each one publishes.
Filters and sorting
In Calls you filter by field of work, territory, deadline and source, and once your organisation's profile is filled in there is a fit filter as well. The deadline filter starts with everything ticked except the closed ones – open now, opening soon, and no fixed date – because otherwise the first screen fills up with calls you can no longer go for. Closed ones are still one click away, for anyone after the history.
Sorting is chosen separately: best fit, closing soonest, largest amount, name, or recently added. It opens on closing soonest, whether you have a profile or not, because a deadline is a fact and fit is an approximation: letting it drive the order would turn it into a ranking it has not earned.
The four views
The same results can be looked at in four ways: as cards, as a table, on the map – by province and region, with the count for each one – and on the calendar, which places them by closing date and shows you whether two deadlines clash before you commit to both.
Whatever you filter is written into the address: opening a call and coming back does not wipe your search, the back button works, and you can send a colleague a link with the filters already set.
Searching and filtering the whole catalogue does not need an account. What does need one – and it is free – are the scoring criteria, the requirements and the documents required in each record, and everything that is compared against your organisation.
