What is kept in the dashboard – calls, grants, tasks, library, documents – belongs to the organisation, not to whoever created it. That is the difference from a shared account with the password written on a sticky note: if whoever set it all up leaves tomorrow, nothing leaves with them.
Inviting someone
From My organisation, on the Staff tab. You put in the email address and the role, and they get an invitation with a link that is good for seven days and works only once. The link also shows on screen and can be copied: the email gets lost in the junk folder often enough that you can't ignore it.
They don't have to accept it from the same address it was sent to: what protects the link is that it expires and that it works only once. Inviting the same address again cancels the previous invitation, so there aren't two working links floating about.
An account belongs to one organisation only. If yours already works in another one and has things saved, the invitation can't be accepted: you have to log in with a different account or write to us to move it. If your organisation is untouched – no name and nothing inside – the account moves across without losing anything.
Two roles and not one more
Admin and Member. Whoever administers doesn't see different screens or different data: the only things they can do that a member can't are managing people – inviting, removing and changing roles – and seeing the Billing tab. Everything else the two use the same way. You can't take the role away from the last person who administers, nor let them leave without naming someone else: an organisation with nobody administering it can only be sorted out through support.
Removing someone doesn't delete anything of theirs: they lose access and their work stays where it is. Anyone who leaves of their own accord starts from scratch with a new, empty organisation.
What the team costs
On the free plan, inviting costs nothing. On a paid plan, the first person is included and each one after that adds their seat to the invoice. The seat is taken up when you invite, not when they accept, and it doesn't come off until the plan renews. The amounts are in The plans.
